Disco Dome Hire in Leicester, Loughborough & Hinckley

Outside: inflatable. Inside: lights, music and bouncing.

That's the idea behind a Disco Dome. Instead of adding music somewhere else at the party, the sound and lighting become part of the inflatable experience itself.

BB Castle Hire provides Disco Dome hire for birthdays and suitable events in Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley, Coalville, Lutterworth and other parts of Leicestershire. If a conventional bouncy castle feels a little too conventional for the party you're planning, step inside the dome.

Why Put the Disco Inside the Bouncy Castle?

Because enclosing the play area changes what children experience once they enter.

A standard Bouncy Castle is open to the wider party environment. Children can see the garden or hall around them while they play. A Disco Dome creates a more enclosed interior where the lighting and music have a much stronger presence.

That makes the dome more than a different shape of castle. Its appeal comes from combining inflatable play with an interior designed around sound and light.

Open the Entrance and the Atmosphere Changes

From the outside, guests can see the dome as one of the attractions at the party. Once inside, the surroundings become much less important.

The enclosed design helps the internal lighting effects stand out and puts the music into the same space where children are bouncing. Instead of a sound system playing somewhere near an inflatable, the two parts of the entertainment are brought together.

For children who like music as much as bouncing, that can give the party a very different character from hiring a traditional castle alone.

Your Party. Your Playlist.

The Disco Dome's sound system allows a compatible device to be connected so you can provide music for the inflatable.

That means the soundtrack can reflect the party rather than relying on one fixed selection of music. Prepare your playlist beforehand and you won't need to spend the celebration repeatedly searching for the next track.

It's worth remembering that a Disco Dome isn't the same service as our hosted Disco Hire. With a dome, the music forms part of the inflatable experience. Hosted disco entertainment centres on a DJ, games, dancing and interaction with the children.

So Which Do You Want: Disco Dome or Children's Disco?

The answer depends on what you imagine happening at the party.

If you want children bouncing inside an inflatable with music and lighting around them, look at the Disco Domes below. If you picture children on a dance floor with a DJ leading the entertainment, our children's disco service is the more relevant option.

And if music isn't particularly important to the celebration, you may find that a conventional castle, Combos & Slides inflatable or dedicated Inflatable Slide better matches what you need.

There isn't one inflatable that's automatically best. Choose according to what you actually want children doing.

A Birthday Party Doesn't Need a Separate Dance Floor

One advantage of building the music into the inflatable experience is that you don't necessarily need to dedicate another section of the party to dancing.

For a children's birthday where the Disco Dome is the main attraction, the rest of the available space can be planned around seating, food, cake and whatever other elements you want to include.

That can be useful when you want a music-themed party but don't want the entire celebration organised as a conventional disco.

Don't Let the Dome Shape Fool You: Height Still Matters

The rounded roof is part of what gives a Disco Dome its distinctive appearance, but it also means you need to pay close attention to dimensions when planning an indoor hire.

A hall can have plenty of floor space and still be unsuitable if there isn't enough usable height. Check the complete dimensions of your chosen Disco Dome against the venue, including the lowest relevant ceiling points.

Look for beams, lights, decorations and suspended fittings rather than relying only on the venue's headline ceiling measurement. Doorways and the access route into the room matter too.

A Hall Can Be an Excellent Home for a Disco Dome

Where the dimensions and access are suitable, indoor hire removes the party's dependence on garden weather and gives you a defined space for the inflatable.

That can make a Disco Dome particularly useful when planning birthdays during autumn and winter as well as at other times of year.

Measure the hall properly before booking and remember to leave space for everything else happening at the party. An inflatable that technically fits into the room isn't much use if it leaves nowhere sensible for tables, chairs or people to move around.

Planning to Put It in the Garden?

Start with the ground rather than the playlist.

Outdoor inflatables generally require suitable real grass so they can be securely anchored. Check the dimensions of the individual Disco Dome and measure the usable garden area, allowing for the full operating space required around the unit.

Don't include patios, sheds, flower beds or other unusable sections when calculating the available grass. Look upwards as well for branches, washing lines and other overhead obstacles.

You should also consider how the equipment will reach the setup area. Narrow gates, side passages, steps and other access restrictions are worth identifying before delivery day.

What Happens When the Dome Isn't the Only Attraction?

At a larger event, you can use the Disco Dome as one experience among several rather than trying to make every attraction music-based.

A conventional bouncy castle provides more traditional inflatable play. Interactive Inflatables introduce targets, games and head-to-head activities. A larger slide creates another completely different reason for visitors to move elsewhere on the site.

For younger children, Soft Play & Ball Pool can provide an area based around lower-level play rather than expecting the same equipment to suit everyone attending.

Give People Somewhere Quieter to Go Too

Music, lighting and inflatable play create a deliberately stimulating environment. If the Disco Dome is part of a larger event, not every other part of the setup needs to offer the same thing.

A seating area, food section or some Garden Games can provide a change of activity away from the dome. This is particularly useful at longer events where guests may want to move between louder, more active entertainment and other parts of the occasion.

School Celebration? It Doesn't Have to Be a Traditional School Disco

For suitable school events, a Disco Dome provides another way to bring music into the entertainment without making the entire event a dance-floor disco.

It can form one attraction within a larger event where pupils rotate between different activities. Depending on the event plan, schools might combine inflatables with games, football activities or refreshments elsewhere on the site.

Schools and PTAs can explore School Events for more equipment ideas.

Candy Floss Outside. Disco Inside.

If you're adding something to the Disco Dome, it doesn't have to be another inflatable.

A Candy Floss Machine gives the party a refreshment feature with a very different purpose, while a Slush Machine provides another option for suitable events.

Browse our wider Fun Foods range if refreshments are the next thing on your party list.

Building a Much Bigger Event?

Once the Disco Dome becomes one item in a much larger equipment list, think about the complete event rather than choosing attractions independently.

Our Event & Package Deals provide combinations to consider, while Event Hire covers equipment for larger school, corporate, charity and community occasions.

For outdoor sites without convenient mains electricity, Generator Hire options may also be available for suitable BB Castle Hire bookings.

Lights, Sound and Inflatable Safety

A Disco Dome contains additional electrical elements, but it remains an inflatable and needs to be installed and operated accordingly.

BB Castle Hire installs its inflatable equipment according to the requirements of the product and location. Our inflatable equipment is built to BS EN 14960 requirements and receives PIPA or RPII inspection where applicable. Electrical equipment is PAT tested, and BB Castle Hire carries £5 million public liability insurance.

Equipment should be used according to the guidance supplied and appropriately supervised throughout the hire. Further information can be found on our Health and Safety page.

Important: Disco Domes use flashing lighting effects and may not be suitable for people with light-sensitive medical conditions. Please take this into account when deciding whether a Disco Dome is appropriate for the people attending your event.
